Google to Shut Down Business Messages and Chat Features
Google is shutting down its Business Messages feature in Google Search and Maps on July 31, 2024. This feature allowed customers to chat with businesses via text. Starting July 15, 2024, new chat conversations will no longer be possible, and existing chats will be phased out. Google advises businesses to add a phone number to their listings or use Reserve with Google as alternatives.
