USC freshman tight end Caden Ramsey was arrested Sept. 7 in Moncks Corner on charges of racing on a public road, just days after he played six snaps in the Gamecocks’ 57-0 season-opening win over Kent State; the team and coach Shane Beamer had publicly praised him the day after the game, and he remains listed on the roster as the university assesses the situation ahead of a game against Towson.
