
Wife of Cal Fire Captain Pleads Guilty to 2025 Ramona Murder Amid Past Stabbing Conviction
Yolanda Marodi, 54, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the February 2025 stabbing death of her wife, Cal Fire captain Rebecca Marodi, in Ramona, after authorities say she fled to Mexico and was captured; she also admitted to a prior felony for the 2000 stabbing death of her then-husband, James Olejniczak, with a 2003 voluntary manslaughter conviction and release in 2013. She faces sentencing on September 2.
