La Bola Negra Sparks a 20-Minute Cannes Ovation for Penélope Cruz
Penélope Cruz's La Bola Negra premiered at the Cannes Film Festival to a 20-minute ovation, one of the longest for a premiere, as directors Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi present a Lorca-inspired drama about three men across 1932, 1937 and 2017, featuring Cruz alongside Miguel Bernardeau and Glenn Close. The project is a Movistar Plus+ and El Deseo production, shot in 35mm across Spain.
