Ex-Kansas City Cop Defiantly Rejects Accountability for Killing Black Man
Former Kansas City police officer, Eric DeValkenaere, who was convicted in 2021 for the fatal shooting of Cameron Lamb, initially appeared to accept the consequences of his actions after losing an appeal and turning himself in. However, his lawyer has now requested that his bond be reinstated so he can remain free and appeal his conviction to the Missouri Supreme Court. The attorney general's office supports his bond request, and there are rumors of potential pardoning or clemency from the governor.
