Alaska Senate Challenger Peltola Reschedules Final Tour After Minor Crash
Democratic US Senate candidate Mary Peltola sustained minor injuries in a multi-vehicle collision on Saturday evening, forcing her to reschedule the start of her final campaign tour. The crash occurred while she was traveling to the Alaska Federation of Natives banquet. Peltola and her family were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Her campaign manager confirmed she is in good spirits and will resume campaigning in Homer on Tuesday. The incident delays her 'Alaska Always Tour' but does not cancel the remaining stops. This occurs in a tight race against incumbent Republican Dan Sullivan, which could determine control of the US Senate.
