Delta passengers stranded overnight in remote Canadian military base after emergency landing
Over 200 Delta passengers were stranded overnight on a remote Canadian military base after their Detroit-bound flight made an emergency landing due to a mechanical issue with its de-icing mechanism. The passengers waited for more than 20 hours, enduring multiple delays and being shuttled between planes, before finally departing. They were provided with basic amenities and accommodations at a nearby military barracks. Delta has stated that affected customers will be compensated for the lengthy delay.
