"Mastering Zoom: Insights from a Comprehensive Study"

BetterUp Labs, the research arm of the online coaching company, has created the largest-ever database of one-on-one Zoom conversations called CANDOR. The study examined more than 1,600 conversations, some 850 hours and 7 million words total, to understand what makes a good conversation on Zoom. The study found that good conversationalists on Zoom are those who talk faster, louder, and more intensely, and appear more engaged in what their partners are saying. The study also found that people liked chatting on Zoom, even during the pandemic, and that the very act of chatting makes people happy.
