'Anatomy of a Fall' Takes Top Prize at Cannes Film Festival
Justine Triet's French courtroom thriller Anatomy of a Fall won the Palme d'Or for best film at the 76th Cannes International Film Festival. Sandra Hüller stars in the film as a German novelist who is put on trial for murder after her husband dies in suspicious circumstances. Triet used her platform to protest the French government's austerity programs. Other winners include Koji Yakusho for Best Actor, Merve Dizdar for Best Actress, and Tràn Anh Hùng for Best Director.
