Two Men Found Dead After Midnight Bioluminescence Canoe Trip in Tomales Bay
Two men were found dead in Tomales Bay, California, following a late-night canoe trip intended to view bioluminescence. One victim, identified as 36-year-old Casey Flynn Melia of San Francisco, was recovered near Hog Island, while the second was found near Toms Point. Both were wearing life vests when discovered. The Marin County Sheriff’s Office, Sonoma County Sheriff-Coroner Bureau, US Coast Guard, and National Park Service are jointly investigating the incident, with causes of death pending post-mortem examinations.
