France mobilizes boats to evacuate Cap Ferret as wildfires blaze
French authorities ordered a full evacuation of the Cap Ferret peninsula as wildfires rage in the region, with evacuation boats operating from three piers while most residents left by road; about 40,000 people on Cap Ferret have been evacuated, though only a few hundred by sea.
