Carlisle midair crash captured: plane collides with state police helicopter
Video shows a Cessna 150 colliding with a Pennsylvania State Police helicopter during a hover taxi near Carlisle Regional Airport, killing the plane’s 57-year-old pilot and injuring two troopers aboard the helicopter. Authorities say the Cessna veered right and struck the helicopter’s rear rotor, leading to a violent crash; the NTSB is investigating, and witnesses described hearing loud, shocking sounds. Gov. Shapiro praised the responders and noted the incident could have been worse for the state police family.
