Portland man fatally shot by police after armed car theft spree ends at Casco Bay Lines
A 37-year-old man, Jacob Hastings, was fatally shot by Portland, Maine police after threatening workers with a gun, stealing vehicles at gunpoint, and leading officers on a high-speed chase that ended at the Casco Bay Lines terminal; a firearm was recovered from a stolen vehicle, three officers were placed on administrative leave, and the Maine Attorney General's Office will investigate the deadly use of force.
