Matthew Ammel, the former bodyguard of ex-U.S. Senator Kyrsten Sinema, faces felony charges for allegedly causing over $200,000 in damage to her Cave Creek home. Ammel is accused of throwing 22 paintings into a pool and smashing glass after Sinema refused to post a video on X. The incident occurred in August, but Sinema reported it in September. Ammel was arrested in September and is currently on electronic monitoring. This criminal case coincides with a separate civil lawsuit in North Carolina regarding their affair.
