DOJ argues RFK Jr. has virtually unchecked vaccine authority in court case
A Department of Justice attorney argued that RFK Jr. has broad, potentially unchecked authority over U.S. vaccine policy, making it effectively unreviewable by courts, in a lawsuit brought by the American Academy of Pediatrics and others challenging his unilateral vaccine policy changes, including COVID-19 policies, the firing of CDC vaccine advisors, and a major overhaul of the childhood vaccination schedule; the judge pressed whether such authority can be reviewed, with a ruling expected before the CDC advisors’ March 18–19 meeting.
