
AMD unveils new AI chip to rival Nvidia's dominance.
AMD has revealed details about its most advanced graphics processing unit (GPU) for AI, the M1300X, which will start trickling out in Q3 2023, with mass production beginning in Q4. The chip, which features the CDNA architecture and has a maximum memory capacity of 192 GB, is designed to cater to the demands of large language and advanced AI models. AMD's announcement represents a significant challenge to Nvidia, which currently dominates the market for AI chips with over 80% of the market share.
