Two E. coli Cases Trigger Centennial Park Aquatic Center Closure in Orland Park
Two confirmed E. coli infections linked to Orland Park’s Centennial Park Aquatic Center have prompted a precautionary closure as officials continue testing. Water samples have generally met normal recreational guidelines, but the center remains closed through Sunday and Monday for additional sampling and review. The facility opened for the season on May 23, and residents who swam there are advised to monitor for symptoms such as diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, or fever and seek medical attention if symptoms worsen. Health officials will provide updates as tests continue.
