Invisible Nano QR Code Opens Door to Ultra-Durable Data Storage
Researchers at TU Wien and Cerabyte printed a QR code on a ceramic film at just 1.977 square micrometers with 49-nanometer pixels. It remains invisible to the eye, can be scanned with an electron microscope, and has earned a Guinness World Record. The team envisions durable ceramic data storage that could hold over 2 terabytes on a single A4 page, offering long-term accessibility for future generations.
