Natural conception after reconstructive surgery for cervical and vaginal agenesis
A woman born with complete cervical and vaginal agenesis underwent vaginoplasty and underwent multiple fertility treatments (three IUI and three IVF cycles) before conceiving naturally eight years after her last IVF. She delivered a healthy son via elective cesarean section on her 40th birthday. This rare outcome—natural pregnancy after reconstructive surgery for cervical/vaginal agenesis—has only been reported in a minority of similar cases, underscoring a potential, though uncommon, pathway to fertility.
