Chalobah called up to England squad after Livramento's World Cup injury
England defender Tino Livramento has been ruled out of the 2026 World Cup with a calf injury and Trevoh Chalobah has been called up to replace him, joining after England's opener against Croatia. Chalobah, who has one cap, is eligible as a replacement up to 24 hours before the first match. Livramento had also missed the final weeks of the season with a thigh injury; Reece James remains the likely right-back despite fitness concerns, with Djed Spence and Ezri Konsa also in the squad. Chalobah last played for England in June 2025 and is primarily a centre-back.
