USPS Implements Measures to Combat Mail Theft and Carrier Robberies
The US Postal Service is taking measures to combat rising mail theft, robberies of carriers, change-of-address fraud, and counterfeit postage. The measures include installing high-security blue collection boxes, replacing antiquated arrow locks with electronic locks, and strengthening authentication processes for Change of Address requests. The Postal Service is also working to close websites and eCommerce accounts selling counterfeit postage.
