South Bend Cubs Achieve No-Hitter Victory
The South Bend Cubs, a minor league affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, threw a combined no-hitter in their recent game. Pitchers Michael Arias, Jarod Wright, Eduarniel Nunez, and Frankie Scalzo Jr. contributed to the historic feat, with Arias starting the game and throwing three hitless innings. Despite some wildness, Arias struck out five batters. Wright followed with four innings, Nunez pitched a clean inning with two strikeouts, and Scalzo finished off the ninth inning.
