Teamsters Launch Strike at Chicago Parking Hubs Amid Contract Dispute
Approximately 1,200 parking workers represented by Teamsters Local 727 began an unfair labor practice strike on November 3, 2026, following the expiration of their collective bargaining agreement. Picket lines were established at O'Hare International Airport, McCormick Place, and the Hyatt Regency, with potential expansion to other venues. The Chicago Parking Association claims its offer includes a 27% wage increase over five years, while the union cites bad-faith bargaining and rising costs.
