Pompeo Heads Hulu's Boston-Based Family Dramedy Pilot Chicks
Hulu has ordered a pilot for Chicks, a family dramedy starring Ellen Pompeo, with Katie Robbins as writer‑producer and Laura Holstein of Calamity Jane as EP, produced by 20th Television. Set in the gentrifying neighborhoods of Boston, the series follows two estranged half-sisters who, after their wise‑guy father dies, pull off audacious cons as they navigate the father’s legacy and mend their fractured bond. Production is eyed for September in New York, continuing Pompeo’s collaborations within the Disney/20th TV family.
