Ukraine says it struck a major Russian refinery as Moscow renews strikes and drills
Ukraine said it hit Russia’s Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery in Kstovo and the Yaroslavl-3 pumping station on May 18–19. In response, Russian strikes on Chernihiv and Sumy killed five people and wounded about 33. The day also saw drone attacks near Yaroslavl, reports that China secretly trained hundreds of Russian troops in drone warfare, and Moscow launching large-scale nuclear-force drills through May 21 as the conflict continues and hospitals cope with mounting casualties.
