Hasbro Shifts Focus to Gaming, Halts Toy Movie Investments
Hasbro is shifting its focus towards digital gaming as traditional toy sales decline, with CEO Chris Cocks emphasizing investment in video games and digital expressions of popular brands like Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons. Despite challenges in the toy and film sectors, Hasbro plans to release one to two video games annually by 2026, including new projects like a Dungeons & Dragons game and a GI Joe action-adventure game. The company is also exploring ways to enhance the collectability of its digital card games.
