Philly seeks man in a Chucky-style mask after city-center chase
Philadelphia police identified 22-year-old Zymire Hughes as the man wearing a Chucky-style mask who chased a 40-year-old jogger near City Hall around 5:30 am on Aug. 12, allegedly holding up a phone and asking the victim if she was “ready to die.” An arrest warrant is active and investigators say Hughes may have fled Pennsylvania, with ties to California and Nevada. Video and images show a distinctive blue plaid backpack; he was last seen entering SEPTA’s Suburban Station. The case is ongoing as authorities search for him.
