The Church News reports that 11 new stakes were created worldwide and several stakes reorganized, detailing the new stake presidencies and ward configurations—from Antofagasta Chile East to Tarawa Kiribati North and the Vineyard Utah YSA Stake—as part of a broad global leadership reshuffling.
The First Presidency announced the opening, open house, and dedication dates for the Bacolod Philippines Temple in 2026, and also revealed that the San José California Temple will be renamed the Sunnyvale California Temple. Sister Kathleen J. Eyring, the wife of President Henry B. Eyring, second counselor in the First Presidency of the Mormon Church, passed away at the age of 82. Throughout their 60-plus years of marriage, Sister Eyring remained her husband's biggest support, counselor, and confidante. Described as an intensely private and modest person, she taught through quiet example and had a deep conviction in the truthfulness of the gospel. Funeral services are pending.
