Canon unveils CINE-SERVO 40-1200mm with built-in extender
Canon has announced the CINE-SERVO 40-1200mm T5.0-10.8 cinema zoom, native to Super 35 with a built-in 1.5x extender that reaches 1800mm (and covers full-frame when extended). Available in Canon RF and ARRI PL mounts, it weighs about 6.8 kg (16 in) and ships in September 2026; prices are $79,999 for ARRI PL and $82,599 for Canon RF. The lens uses a USB-C powered drive unit and supports RF features like Dual Pixel CMOS AF II, while the PL version adds Cooke /i and Zeiss data support, targeting wildlife, sports, and event shoots and following the 2014 50-1000mm predecessor.
