Dentist’s Account of Machchhar’s Critical Care Highlights Heroic Response on Flydubai Flight
Dr. Shota Musaev, a Georgian dentist on Flydubai Flight FZ1073, provided critical medical aid to Captain Smit Machchhar after the co-pilot attacked him with a crash axe. Musaev stabilized the captain’s low pulse and kept him conscious until the plane landed in Saudi Arabia. Israeli President Isaac Herzog awarded six passengers, including Musaev, the Presidential Award for Civilian Heroism. Investigators in the UAE are questioning the co-pilot, who allegedly planned a 9/11-style attack on Tel Aviv.
