SNES Tracks Return to Mario Kart World in Free Update, Adding Spectator Mode and New Tours
Mario Kart World’s latest free update adds 10 SNES-era tracks (including classics like Mario Circuit, Ghost Valley, and Choco Island) to Versus mode, plus two new Knockout Tour events (Propeller Rally and Turnip Rally) and a Spectator Mode for online or LAN play. The 1.8.0 patch introduces Time Trials lap timing, ghost-time color changes, camera controls (Y to switch to player perspective, R to view rankings), larger online room capacity (up to 26 players), item and balance tweaks, and other quality-of-life adjustments, all released the same month Nintendo Direct highlighted Switch 2 upgrades for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
