Matteo Berrettini is out of the BMW Open in Munich due to a grade 2 tear in his internal oblique muscle. The former world No 6 was scheduled to make his second Munich appearance this year. Berrettini, who won the tournament in 2019, had just returned to the court after withdrawing from the Monte Carlo Masters due to an injury. It remains to be seen for how long Berrettini will be sidelined.
