Election Day Dry Spell Hits Bahamas Shore Visits for Cruise Guests
The Bahamas will suspend alcohol sales on election day (May 12) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. across its islands, including the private CocoCay island used by Royal Caribbean. Two ships visiting CocoCay, Oasis of the Seas and Wonder of the Seas, will be affected for onshore visits, while alcohol remains available aboard ships. The move has frustrated travelers who planned Bahamas stops, and Royal Caribbean says it will comply with local laws.
