Columbia officer dies in shootout while answering domestic dispute call
Two Columbia, SC police officers responded to a domestic dispute; a gunfight with the suspect left Officer Christopher DeLong dead and Officer David Dymock wounded (the latter in stable condition) as suspect Adam Tyler Dowdy was also killed. Dowdy is said to have a lengthy arrest record. DeLong leaves behind a wife and two young children; the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is investigating.
