Universal United Kingdom Resort near Bedford will open in 2031, backed by Comcast NBCUniversal with more than £5 billion over five years and the U.K. government with about £1 billion for regional infrastructure (over £6 billion total, ≈$8 billion). The project is projected to create about 28,000 jobs and contribute a substantial economic boost (roughly £50 billion) to the U.K. by 2055, including improved transport links.
