Calaveras County Neighbor Steps Up After Gann Fire Devastation
After defending his own home as the Gann Fire approached, Calaveras County resident Chris Cobb now checks on neighbors who can’t yet return, tends to animals, and keeps generators running while delivering tough news about losses. The fire burned about 10,374 acres with 47% containment and more than 1,600 personnel on scene, and Cobb’s property sustained significant losses including a trailer, structures, and a pontoon boat.
