UK Regulator Gives Green Light to Microsoft's Activision Blizzard Acquisition
Microsoft is one step closer to gaining UK approval for its $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard after the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) finalized the first phase of reviewing a revised proposal. The revised deal includes ceding Activision's cloud gaming rights to Ubisoft, addressing previous concerns about competition in the market. While the CMA has identified some limited residual concerns, Microsoft's proposed remedies are expected to address them. The CMA is currently consulting on the proposed remedies before making a final decision.
