
Clemson taps Guskiewicz as its 16th president
Following a national search, Clemson University named Kevin Guskiewicz—the neuroscientist and former president of Michigan State University and chancellor at UNC Chapel Hill—as Clemson’s 16th president in a unanimous Board of Trustees vote; the start date is being finalized. A MacArthur Fellow and leading concussion researcher, Guskiewicz has guided major universities and outlined a plan to advance student success, academic excellence, and Clemson’s land‑grant mission.
