A new report finds that Oklahoma's conflicting abortion laws have left hospital workers confused about how to proceed with emergency pregnancy care. Researchers used a "secret shopper method" and found that none of the hospitals they contacted in Oklahoma was able to articulate clear, consistent policies for emergency obstetric care to potential patients. The Oklahoma laws allow abortion in the case of a medical emergency, but one doesn't define a medical emergency.
