Magic designer Jeremy Geist explains that connive—a three-step, textured mechanic (draw, discard, and sometimes a +1/+1 counter)—is returning in Magic: The Gathering Marvel Super Heroes as a smoothing tool that rewards hand optimization and synergies with self-mill, sacrifice, and second-card-draw strategies.
