New AI-Assisted Plugin Reskins Steam Deck Interface to Mimic Legacy Consoles
A new Decky plugin called benderthemes allows Steam Deck users to replace the standard Game Mode interface with visual skins mimicking PlayStation and Xbox consoles, including the PSP, PS5, and Xbox 360. Developed by Kaal31 with AI assistance, the tool changes home screen layouts and organizes collections to resemble specific hardware. While the plugin offers extensive customization options that can be switched in real time, it requires manual installation from GitHub and has received mixed reviews regarding visual quality and the use of artificial intelligence in its creation.
