Getty Images Unveils AI Image Generator Trained Exclusively on Its Licensed Photos
Getty Images has partnered with Nvidia to launch Generative AI by Getty Images, a tool that allows users to create images using Getty's library of licensed photos. The tool is trained exclusively on Getty's vast image library, providing users with full copyright indemnification. Getty's generative AI tool produces realistic human figures and can generate photos that closely resemble actual Getty-watermarked images. However, the illustration mode only provides 2D, clip-arty renderings. The tool restricts certain types of images, such as those featuring real people or recreating real-life events. Customers can access the tool through the Getty Images website, with pricing based on prompt volume. Getty watermarks the AI-generated images and plans to allow users to add their own data to train the model in the future.
