COTALAND's Circuit Breaker Coaster Halts Twice During Austin Park's Launch Weekend
COTALAND, a new 30-acre amusement park in Austin, opened its doors this weekend with over 30 attractions, including Texas's first tilt roller coaster, Circuit Breaker. However, the ride experienced two unplanned stops with riders on board during the opening weekend. COTALAND stated that safety sensors triggered the halts, and all riders were evacuated without injury. The park is part of a broader expansion of the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) property and is expected to employ 1,300 people and attract 1.5 million visitors annually.
