Mother of Murdered New Jersey Republican Remains Strong Amid Arrest at Bail Hearing for Daughter's Suspected Killer
The mother of a New Jersey councilwoman who was murdered in February was arrested in court after a judge denied bail for the suspected killer. Rashid Ali Bynum, a Virginia man, is accused of driving to New Jersey and killing Eunice Dwumfour in the parking lot outside her home. The victim's mother allegedly got into a scuffle and was handcuffed and escorted out of the courtroom. Bynum had briefly been recruited by the victim to her Bible study, but they had a falling out. The couple had just married months before the murder, and the husband lives in Nigeria.
