A Portland resident was hospitalized after a deer jumped into the southbound lane of I-5 near milepost 52 in Cowlitz County, causing a collision. The driver was wearing a seat belt, and her condition was not released.
Longview, WA officials say all nine workers missing after Nippon Dynawave’s white liquor tank implosion have been recovered and identified. Northbound I-5 near Woodland has been partially reopened with two left lanes now open at Dike Access Road after a debris slide closed all lanes earlier. Geotechnical crews are en route to assess safety; traffic remains backed up about five miles, and there is no estimated time for full reopening.
