Samsung reportedly plans to coat the Galaxy Z Fold 8’s display with Ultra-Thin Glass on the top and bottom layers to cut the fold crease by at least 20%, a move highlighted after a crease-free panel demo at CES 2026. UTG is noted as a cheaper, more readily available option, and Samsung may offer a different panel for the iPhone Fold compared with its own foldables to maintain a crease-free look.
