USS Lincoln Completes Record Deployment, Returns to San Diego
The USS Abraham Lincoln has returned to its home port in San Diego after a record-breaking 286-day deployment in the Middle East. The carrier, which operated near the Strait of Hormuz, arrived with visible hull wear and faced scrutiny over crew morale and supply issues. Although the Navy denied reports of missed meals, the extended mission highlighted the strain of prolonged deployments on sailors and the strategic importance of the region.
