IVF Embryo Mix-Up Ends With Custody Pact Between Couple and Baby's Genetic Parents
Florida couple Tiffany Score and Steven Mills, who welcomed daughter Shea Score Mills via IVF and sued the Fertility Center of Orlando after discovering the baby wasn’t genetically theirs, have reached a mutually devised custody agreement with Shea’s biological parents. The arrangement preserves Score and Mills’ permanent custody, keeps the biological parents’ identities confidential, and a court hearing is set to finalize the deal. The filing also notes the remaining embryo will be transported to a new clinic for parentage testing and further steps.
