Betty Broderick, infamous San Diego killer, dies in custody at 78
Betty Broderick, the San Diego socialite convicted of the 1989 murders of her ex-husband Dan Broderick and his wife Linda Kolkena Broderick, died of natural causes at age 78 while serving a life sentence. She had recently been moved to an outside medical facility; parole had been denied multiple times. The San Bernardino County Coroner will determine the official cause of death. Broderick is survived by four children and seven grandchildren.
