Daniel Erving, an 18-year-old who drowned at Lake Ray Hubbard in Rowlett, Texas, in April, is at the center of renewed calls for accountability after two teens were charged with tampering with physical evidence—allegedly discarding Erving's clothing and cellphone. Investigators say the suspects panicked and fled the scene; the death was ruled an accidental drowning, and the investigation continues with Rowlett PD assisting the Dallas Police Department.
